Excavation & Site Work, Done by Our Own Crew
CDL Construct has been moving earth across the Seacoast since 1970. We run our own excavators, dozers and track loaders with our own operators, for homeowners, builders and commercial clients in New Hampshire, Southern Maine and Northeastern Massachusetts.
Because we also build, we dig with the finished project in mind. Foundations come out square and level, utilities go where the plans need them, and the site is ready when the next crew shows up.

Site prep & land clearing
Clearing trees and brush, stumping, and rough and finish grading to get a lot ready for a home or commercial building.
Foundation excavation
Digging the hole, setting the stone base and compacting it so footings and walls go in on solid ground.
Utilities
Trenching for water, sewer and electric lines, bedded properly and marked with warning tape.
Septic systems
Septic tank and leach field installation for new homes and replacements.
Demolition
Full house and building demolition, debris hauled away and the site cleared for what comes next.
Drainage & grading
Grading and drainage that moves water away from foundations and driveways.

Homeowner FAQ
Do you only do site work for your own builds?
No. We do excavation for homeowners, other builders and commercial clients, as well as for our own projects.
Do you install septic systems in Maine and New Hampshire?
Yes. We install septic tanks and leach fields for new homes and replacements. We install to your engineer's approved septic design, so the system goes in exactly as permitted.
Can you handle demolition and then build?
Yes. We can take down an existing house or building, clear the site, dig the new foundation and build, all as one project.
What if you hit ledge?
Ledge is common on the Seacoast. In most cases we break it out with a hydraulic hammer on an excavator, so the job keeps moving without waiting on another company.

Seacoast New Hampshire, Southern Maine, Massachusetts' North Shore and the Merrimack Valley, including Kittery, York, Portsmouth, New Castle, Exeter, Epping, Newburyport and Andover.
